Details
Select the source pages you need, then download them as one checked PDF or as separate checked PDFs packed into a ZIP. Page order never changes, and Select all, Deselect all, Undo and Redo revise the set before anything runs. Each output PDF is opened again and compared with its selected source page for text integrity. The original stays unchanged and never leaves this browser tab. Your file is never uploaded; no account, no watermark.
How to extract pages from a PDF online
-
Choose the PDF
Press Choose a PDF, or drop the file on the page. Page previews are drawn in this browser tab. The file is read locally and never uploaded.
-
Select the pages
Mark each source page you want. Select all, Deselect all, Undo, Redo and Clear selection revise the set without changing page order. The selection is fully editable until you extract.
-
Choose one PDF or separate PDFs
One PDF puts the selected pages into one file in source order. Separate PDFs makes one checked PDF per selected page and packs them into one ZIP download.
-
Download the checked output
Each output PDF is opened again and compared with its selected source page for text integrity and page count before the download appears. A result that fails is not offered.
Where Extract PDF pages fits among the page tools
Extracting is what you want when the pages you need are a small part of something long: the two pages of a contract that carry signatures, the one invoice inside a monthly statement, the chapter a colleague asked for out of a 300-page manual. Everything else stays where it is. The source PDF is never modified, so the copy on your disk after the download is the same copy that was there before.
Two shapes of output cover almost every case. One PDF holds the selected pages together in their original order, which suits a chapter or a signed section. Separate PDFs, packed into a ZIP, give each page its own file, which suits a batch of invoices or receipts that will be filed one at a time. Select all, Deselect all, Undo and Redo make the selection quick to revise before either one runs.
Page order never changes here. If page 9 came before page 12 in the source, it comes before page 12 in the output, whichever shape you chose. To reorder pages, use Organize pages first. To cut a long document into parts at chosen boundaries rather than pick individual pages, use Split PDF. To remove pages instead of keeping them, use Delete PDF pages. To put extracted pages beside another document, use Merge PDF, and Compress PDF shrinks the result if it is going out by email.
A signed document is the one case worth checking before you extract. The pages you pull out carry the visible content, but not the digital signature that covered the original file, because that seal is computed over bytes the extract no longer contains. Send the signed original when the recipient has to verify it, and the extract when they only have to read it.
Real-world use cases for extracting PDF pages
Extracting a signed contract page. A 50-page contract has signature pages at the end. Select just those pages and download them as one PDF for quick reference, without sending the entire document. The source file on disk stays unchanged.
Filing individual invoices from a statement. A supplier sends a monthly statement with 30 invoices as one PDF. Extract each invoice as a separate PDF in a ZIP, then file them one at a time. Select the pages, choose Separate PDFs, and download.
Sharing a chapter from a manual. A 300-page manual needs one chapter shared with a colleague. Select the chapter pages and download as one PDF in source order. The page order is preserved exactly as in the original.
Preparing evidence or exhibits. Extract specific pages from a long document to build an exhibit file. After extraction, use Merge PDF to combine exhibits from different sources, or Compress PDF to fit the result within an email or portal limit. To add page numbers to the extracted set, use Stamp PDF.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are the extracted pages uploaded to a server?
- No. Reading, previews, extraction, verification and download creation all run in this browser tab via WebAssembly. No part of the file is sent over the network, and no account is required.
- Can I extract a single page from a PDF?
- Yes. Select one page and choose One PDF. The output contains that page alone as a verified PDF. The original file on your disk stays unchanged.
- Can I extract a page range?
- Yes. Select every page in the range. The output keeps the selected pages in their original source order. Page order never changes in this tool; to reorder, use Organize pages first.
- Can I download each selected page as a separate file?
- Yes. Choose Separate PDFs. Each selected page becomes one PDF inside a single ZIP download. Each file is verified individually before packing.
- Does the original PDF change when I extract pages?
- No. The tool creates new output files and leaves the original file on your disk unchanged. The extraction is a copy of selected pages, not a modification of the source.
- Does the extracted text stay selectable?
- Yes. Selected pages are copied instead of rendered as pictures. The output is reopened and its selectable text is compared with the source pages. A result that loses text is not offered for download.
- What does the extraction verification check confirm?
- It checks that every output opens, contains the selected pages in source order, preserves page sizes, and retains at least 98% of their selectable text. A failed result is not offered for download.
- What may not carry into the extracted PDF?
- Document-level bookmarks, custom page labels, links and interactive form behavior may not carry into an extracted file. The pages themselves, their sizes and their selectable text are checked and reported before download. For flattening form fields first, use Flatten PDF.
